Nature Education
Nature education has been central to MNCT’s work since 2014. Through Bihar Paryavaran Sanrakshan Abhiyan (BIPSA), we have conducted environmental education programmes in 150+ schools, engaging students, teachers, youth, and local communities in understanding and protecting nature.
Our activities include interactive school programmes, guided nature walks, bird identification, biodiversity documentation, and practical conservation initiatives. We support school eco-clubs and youth action groups, encouraging young people to explore local biodiversity and translate their learning into meaningful action. We also conduct community awareness programmes on snakebite prevention, responsible wildlife response, and human–wildlife coexistence.
Through capacity-building initiatives, we engage teachers, local bird guides, community members, and frontline forest staff in wildlife awareness, biodiversity monitoring, and conservation practices.
Citizen Science and Biodiversity Documentation
Since 2023, MNCT has contributed to citizen science initiatives in Bihar, including the Great Backyard Bird Count (GBBC) and the City Nature Challenge (CNC).
By encouraging people to observe and document birds, butterflies, plants, and other organisms, we connect local biodiversity observations with wider scientific recording efforts. These activities build practical skills, foster curiosity, and enable people to contribute to biodiversity monitoring.
We believe that meaningful nature education goes beyond awareness—it inspires people to understand biodiversity, take responsibility for its protection, and become active participants in conservation.
